Boundless Souls

Millie and the Red Balloon

Ever since I learned about signs, I’ve enjoyed experimenting with them—choosing different ones and seeing how they show up. Lately, my family has been going through a rough patch, so I decided to make things a little more challenging for Millie and my spirit guides. I chose not just one, but two signs—two distinct symbols that needed to appear together.

I wanted to see the name “Millie” out in the world, but it had to be paired with a red balloon. Strange, I know. Was I trying to trick my spirit guides? Maybe. I just wondered—when would I ever see the name Millie next to a red balloon?

This time, I asked with intention:
“Millie, please send me your name next to a red balloon to let me know we’ll get through this. Someone in our family is in trouble, and I need to know she’s going to be okay.”

A few days later, I was scrolling through Instagram when I came across a page dedicated to a beautiful little girl named Millie. Her mother had written a touching caption—and at the very end was a small red balloon emoji. My heart lit up. I’d never seen a page with “Millie” as the handle before. It didn’t appear until I asked for it.

Over the next few days, I kept asking. It didn’t happen right away, but when it did, it showed up once more on that same page. In one post, there was a photo of her, and in the background, barely noticeable, was a small deflated red balloon. The photo wasn’t about the balloon. It was about Millie. But that little red balloon behind her? It meant the world to me.
